STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOES NOT IGNITE

For an electric stove will not ignite, check if the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas models. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, it means a different part will need to be repaired. The reason for the issue might be an surface element, infinite switch, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner that does not heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven will not heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner does not ignite if an element is broken or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these problems in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It’s safe to assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer settings aren’t working. In this case, we can replace control boards on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on control boards and manufacturer parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is extremely hot, it could be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to identify the reason for the problem and repair it. But be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is when an igniter glows but it won’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or sensor. We will determine whether we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens can experience door issues often. The door does not open after the oven cleans itself. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to identify why the door does not open up and then complete the necessary repair in order to correct the problem.
